Terms and Conditions

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

 “The Local Heroes Giveaway” is open to Teachers, Police Officers, Nurses, and EMS Practitioners currently working in Roseville, Lincoln, Citrus Heights, Rocklin, Loomis, Auburn, Antelope, Granite Bay, or Sacramento. To participate, nominees must be nominated (Tagged on our “The Local Heroes Giveaway” social media post(s) by their friends, family, co-workers, or people in our community on social media.) By entering the giveaway, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

All entries must be received between 12:00 PM on May 1st and 12:00 PM on May 31st, 2023. Three (3) winners will be selected at random via a drawing by Rana Dental on May 31st, and the winner will be notified on or after this date.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Geographical, Career and Age Requirements: No purchase is necessary, and winners will not be required to pay to enter the drawing. Entrants must be over 18 years old on the date of their entry. Employees of Rana Dental are not eligible to enter. Instagram or Facebook are not in any way affiliated or involved in the competition.

 

HOW TO ENTER/ WINNER SELECTION

Each nominee shall be entered into the giveaway via Instagram/Facebook by being tagged by another Instagram/Facebook user in the comments of the specified post by Rana Dental. Each nominator may nominate multiple nominees at one time. For each nomination received from different nominators, a ticket will be entered into the drawing. The Prize will be awarded to a randomly selected winner who has been nominated on Instagram or Facebook by manually entering tickets into a drawing and pulling at random. Rana Dental will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.

Rana Dental will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. Rana Dental takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rana Dental shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the competition or any Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

 

CONSENTS/RELEASES

By entering the drawing, participants release all photos, pictures, videos, names, ages, orthodontic records and scans and models to be used at our discretion for current and future marketing and social media purposes. We will not sell, trade, or offer this information to other companies and it will be used for the sole purpose of Rana Dental’s marketing and orthodontic program.

CONDITIONS*

A full comprehensive exam is required to be eligible to receive either the grand prize and second prize from Rana Dental. After the full comprehensive exam is completed, if the drawing winner(s) has any treatment or restorative work diagnosed, the winner must have it completed by their treating dentist and provide Rana Dental with a letter of clearance. In the event that they do not have a dentist of record, the needed work can be scheduled at Rana Dental. All treatment costs will be presented in a written treatment plan prior to being scheduled. All pending treatment must be completed before active orthodontic treatment begins. If treatment is not completed by 12/1/2023 then the winner automatically forfeits the prize. At the discretion of Rana Dental, the prize may or may not be awarded to another runner-up.

PRIZES:

Prizes have no cash value, and no substitution is available. The name, address, email address, and phone number of the winner must be provided to the promoter(s) if requested and will be shared to enable fulfillment of the Prize. The prizes may be transferable in the event winner does not need or want the prize(s). The new recipient must meet all requirements and conditions* to be eligible.

Terms and conditions may apply. Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses which are not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt and use of all or any portion of the awarded prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize winner.

 

ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE IS SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.

Upon the request of the Sponsor(s), the potential winner may be required to return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release, and Prize Acceptance Form and IRS W-9 form. If a potential winner fails to comply with these official rules, that potential winner will be disqualified. Prizes may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible entries are received.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the promoter's reasonable control, the promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the competition or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice. The promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

BY ENTERING THE DRAWING , EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE, AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES, THE FACEBOOK PLATFORM, ADMINISTRATOR, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE DRAWING  AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE, AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS, OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE. SPONSOR AND ITS PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE DRAWING.

By participating, each entrant grants Sponsor permission to use his/her name, likeness, or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.
