On August 6, 2018, we held our annual STUFF THE BUS charity event! This year was the biggest yet: we had a BOUNCE HOUSE (the kids had a blast!), gallons upon gallons of FREE coffee donated graciously by Starbucks, and a truly amazing raffle (with prizes including iFLY indoor skydiving vouchers, free jumps at Sky Zone, Xtreme Craze laser tag tickets, a Cheesecake Factory gift card, loads of coffee, and SO much more) that generated nearly $400 to donate to the Kids In Need Foundation. Not only that—we gathered TONS of school supplies!!! All school supplies will be received very gratefully by children in our own local community. Thank you to all who participated and donated—your donation truly made a difference in the life of a child in need.
Dr. Rana's thoughts:
I am very passionate about giving back to the community. This is an event that we would like to host again in the future; with the experience we now have, we believe we could build upon it and make it even more successful than before. Now, while big events are wonderful opportunities to raise great sums of money and/or supplies for those in need, I believe that the greatest service is given when one weaves it into the fabric of their every day life. I have dedicated my life to serving others by continuing my education through advanced postdoctoral studies in order to provide the most efficient, quality care possible.
